This is the rubric that I will use to grade your Expository writing piece. I will take your score and divide it by 30 to give you a grade out of 100 points (a percentage). Use this version to give each other feedback. Have a classmate read your rough draft, score your writing using the rubric, and give you feedback.

We are finishing up with our study of Rome. Students will research one aspect of Ancient Rome and write an expository research paper on it. Students will have two full class periods to research their topic and begin the writing. Students will need to finish, edit and revise on their own as homework. This will be graded as our first major assignment in the 2nd quarter. I can’t wait to see all the amazing work come in.
